The TOP GEAR series has taken you to almost 100 cities, about a dozen countries, and every single continent on the planet. Now it's ready to take you 1000 years into the future, as you race to the center of the galaxy. Some crazy rich folks have challenged you to a speed duel, and now it's up to you to show them who's the boss. Try your hand at more than four dozen tracks in 12 different star systems. Speeding across undiscovered planets, you'll need to collect power-ups and win cash to spend on interstellar upgrades and out-of-this-world weaponry. All the rules fly out the window in this fast-paced challenge that makes regular racing games look like ancient history.

It's probably the best racing games for SNES. If you played the original Top Gear, the natural camera angle for racing has changed making it slightly harder to race.Since Top Gear 2 you were able to custom your vehicle in single player, but this system is changed some and most agree it is better. Top Gear 3000 is the best in the series, especially for single player. They are all fine games for 2 player racing, but I have slight preference to the original Top Gear because the natural camera angles are a little better for racing split screen.

This game is fun to play, but gets very difficult once you get past the first 5 levels.

By Zoltomar Starfire
This is a VERY fast feeling racer. You compete in races to earn cash to buy upgrades for your car.The races get SO fast that unless you know the track you'll be smashing into all sorts of barriers but when you get it down you'll be -FLYING-.Two player split screen is good, but when it splits into a quad it's almost impossible to race.By far my favorite racer for the Snes. This one is not to be missed!
